BTRC sources said they have taken a decision to instantly cancel the licences of the firms to be found engaged in illegal VoIP. Against the backdrop of rising illegal VoIP trading by some dishonest internet service providers (ISPs), the BTRC took the hard decision, the sources said. Meanwhile, officials of the telecom watchdog BTRC in cooperation with anticrime elite force RAB seized huge quantities of illegal VoIP equipment from an ISP firm at Purana Paltan in the city on Tuesday.
