Six terminated teachers of Berayed Muslim High School in the capital have not yet been reinstated despite the order of the district education officer.

Their services were terminated illegally by the then managing committee in 2004 for what is alleged not complying with its instruction.

The Dhaka district education officer held an investigation into the matter and found the termination of their services illegal, a press release issued by the affected teachers said.

The six terminated teachers of the school under Badda Thana are Modan Kumar Bishwash, Moulana Fazlul Haque, Makhful Hossain, Abdul Matin, Aminul Hossain and Mosharraf Hossaion.

Losing their jobs, the six dismissed teachers have now been passing their days in great hardship and misery.

Earlier, Laila Arjuman Banu, another terminated teacher of the same school,

got back her job through legal battle.

When contacted, Sirajul Islam, head master of the school, said he had no hand in the termination of the teachers.
