Replicas of Egyptian relics handed over to Nat'l Museum

Egypt has handed over five replicas of ancient relics of Egyptian civilization to the National Museum.

Cultural Affairs Adviser Rasheda K Chowdhury received the replicas from Egyptian Ambassador Faiz Naser at a function at the National Museum yesterday.

The adviser said, "The cultural bond between Egypt and Bangladesh has become stronger through the handing over of the relics."

Faiz Naser, the Egyptian envoy, said, "These relics will certainly enrich the National Museum, as it has made Egypt proud."

The replicas are busts of Princess Baketaten, Sekhmet and Model of 'Ankh' sign, among others.

Secretary of Ministry of Cultural Affairs Md Sharful Alam, Secretary General of National Museum Samar Chandra Pal were also present at the function.
