Jahangirnagar University syndicate recently awarded Ph. D degree to Subir Kumar Saha for his thesis entitled 'Survival of Newborns : Implications on the Reduction of Neonatal and infant Mortality in Bangladesh'. Professor M. Kabir of Department of Statistics was his supervisor. He holds M.Sc. in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University. He presented his research findings in many international conferences in USA, UK and other countries. He has consulted in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Laos, Burundi and Haiti. Now he is working in USA as a researcher. Dr. Subir Kumar Saha is son of Sudhangshu Saha, thana-Kotwali, Comilla is a Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Operational Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.
