Mass awareness to prevent HIV/AIDS underscored

An advocacy meeting on "Bangladesh situation on HIV/AIDS diseases' was held at Jaynagar area in Netrakona district town recently. Organisation for Rural Advancement (ORA), Netrakona district unit sponsored the advocacy meeting at the conference room of its office at the Jaynagar area here.

Presided over by Medical Officer of Netrakona Sadar Hospital, Dr Rajesh Kumar Das, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Medical Officer of Sabalamibi Unnayan Samity Dr Maksudur Rahman, Councillor of Netrakona Pourasava Rahima Khatun, Police sub-inspector Saiful Islam, Imam of Netrakona Krishi Farm mosque Moulana Abul Kalam and former Secretary of Netrakona Press Club Shyamolendu Paul. Manager of ORA, Netrakona district unit Joynal Abedin presented a key note paper in the meeting. The speakers underlined the need for creating mass awareness on the preventive methods to check spreading of the killer diseases "HIV/AIDS" in the country.
