British Airways abandoning Dhaka!

It is really shocking to learn that the British Airways has decided to suspend its flights between Dhaka and London from March next year on the ground of non-profitability of this route. The airline, which has been operating its flights since 1970, is currently running three flights a week between Dhaka and London.

While appreciating their commercial aspects I would request the BA authorities to reconsider their decision. Instead of suspending flights completely, the number of flights may be reduced and a more profitable route be designed by incorporating two to three cities inside and outside Bangladesh in the present route. Package travel offers may be floated to attract passengers.
