Baul artistes from India presented baul songs with the messages of human love to all. They also presented words against the communal discrimination. They rendered the song,

"Deher majhe bagan achhe

Sei bagane phul phutechhe

Phul saurave mon metechhe

Shudu Lalon er mon matlo na…"

The Indian High Commission in association with Indian Council for Cultural Relations organized a performance on baul songs by noted Indian baul artiste Madhusudan Baul and his troupe at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital on Tuesday. In the programme, baul artiste from Shyamnobo village of Bardhowan district of West Bengal, India and his troupe presented their performance.

Cultural Adviser Rasheda K Choudhury was present as chief guest in the function. Pinak Ranjan Chakraborty, Indian High Commissioner, among others, were present on the occasion. Ashok Das Baul companied Madhusudan Baul. Joyonti Das played Mondira and Kanu Parikshit also companied Madhusudan Baul on tabla, khol and dhol.

In the programme, Madhusudan Baul and his troupe presented the following songs: 'Allah Hori Ram Kali God,' 'Amra bhai norakare ghure beray,' 'Madinate elo Mohammad,' 'Mathurai elo shyam,' 'Mon duble pore rattan pabi,' 'Bhasle pore pabi na,' 'Chhere de tor hingshabritti,' 'Piriti kanthaler atha lagle pore chhare na,' 'Bondhur sone prem koro go nobo joy bole,' and others.
