News briefs Firearms recovered in Ctg CHITTAGONG, Nov 1 : The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered one LG, one gun and one bullet from Fakirghola area under Moheshkhali upazila of the district on Friday. RAB sources said as a team of the elite force was conducting a drive in the area some terrorists fled away leaving behind the firearms, reports UNB. Tk 20000 realised as fine in Panchagarh PANCHAGARH, Nov 2: A mobile court here on Saturday in raids at Debiganj upazila Bazar realized Taka 20,000 as fine from Imran Biscuit Factory. The Mobile Court led by first class Magistrate Md. Ziauddin Ahmed and Debiganj thana police during their anti-adulteration drive found that the factory were preparing food items in an unhygienic condition and fined the factory, reports UNB. 32 rescued from C’ganj borders CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Nov 3 : Members of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) rescued 32 persons from Bakchar village under sadar upazila on Saturday night, who were being trafficked to India by a gang of human traffickers. BDR sources said, acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of the border guards raided the abandoned house at Bakchar inside the country, 500 metres off the border and found the persons waiting for crossing the border under the cover of darkness and rescued them. The rescued persons included 18 male, 10 women and four children, BDR sources said, reports UNB. Six held in Chittagong CHITTAGONG, Nov 3: Police arrested six persons from different villages under Mirsharai upazila of the district on Friday. They were Nur Hossain and Shamsul Alam, Habibur Rahman, Shahidul Islam, Jaman and Jasim Uddin. A number of cases were pending against them in different thanas, police said. reports UNB. Fake examinee held in Jamalpur JAMALPUR, Nov 3: One fake examinee was arrested here while appearing in the written test on behalf of an- other for the post of primary teachers at Beltia Madrasa centre in the district on Friday, police said. Sources said Mursheda, 22, of Sanjer Para of Sarishabari upazila was giving proxy on behalf of her younger sister Mahmuda. She was handed over to Sadar thana police, reports UNB.
