To mark the National Youth Day-2008, Department of Youth Development arranged a discussion at Jubo Training Centre at Patchdona in sadar upazila in the district on Saturday.

A total of Taka 12.47 lakh was distributed among 28 trained jobless youths. Certificates were also distributed among them.

Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Amrita Bario attended the function as the chief guest.

Deputy Director, Department of Youth Development Narsingdi Mostafizur Rahman presided over the function.

Principal Abdul Kader Mollah of City College, Moshiur Rahman, president of Narsingdi Press Club Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan and BSS Narsingdi district correspondent Mohammad Abu Taher, among others ,spoke on the occasion.
