Ph.D degree was conferred on Nazmun Naher in Plant Pathology under the Department of Plant Pathology by the Syndicate of the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh recently. Her dissertation title was "Integrated Management of post-harvest diseases of Mango" and guided by Professor Dr. Md. Ayub Ali, Professor Dr. MA Rahim and Professor Dr. Ismail Hossain of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh.

Dr. Nazmun Naher got scholarship and financial assistance from the Fruit Tree Improvement Project funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to conduct her research. The findings of the study are useful for fruit growers, fruit businessmen, the scientists, policy makers, administrators, extension personnel and donor agencies.

She is the eldest daughter of Md. Badrul Alam and Mrs Shamsun Naher of JNC Road, Alam Nagar, Rangpur. Currently Dr Nazmun Naher is working as Trainee in Intercooperation-Leaf Project in Rangpur region.
