The National Cooperative Day was observed today at Manikganj through various programmes. Speakers at a discussion, held at the auditorium of Manikganj Zila Parishad, explained the goals of the cooperative movement and the sugnificance of the day.

GM Salehuddin, the deputy commissioner spoke as the chief guest while additional police superintendent Majid Ali and additional deputy commissioner M Salahuddin Chowdhury were special guests.

The deputy commissioner hoisted the national flag before the day's celebration. while Hassan Imam Agam, Central Co-operative Bank chairman Hasan Imam Azam district co-operative officer Abdur Razzaque jointly hoisted the co-operative flag.
