Event: Seminar on drama held Staff Reporter Centre for National Culture (CNC) organised a subject based seminar recently. Topic of the subject was 'We and Our Drama.' Renowned dramatist and popular film artiste Ariful Haq was present as the keynote speaker in the seminar. Noted playwright and educationist Prof Dr Askar Ibne Saikh chaired the session. In the seminar, Ariful Haq stated a substantial brief on the history of theatre and activities of the theatre groups. He said, "Theatre from very beginning was yet a source of the recreation of riches and bourgeons. But it should represent and reflect common sorrows and happiness to its wider range." He added that one of the world famous theatre researcher opined, " A nation is known by its theatre." So we should remembered and realise the actual effort of theatre, he mentioned. Prof Askar Ibne Saikh also spoke at the seminar. The seminar was organised by Prof Nurul Amin Chowdhury, Executive Director of CNC and modertaed by poet Kamruzzaman.
