Cultural organisation Kranti organised a musical evening at Narigrantha Probartana at Mohammadpur in the city recently.

Main aim of the musical evening was to commemorate memorise of the legendary musician Komol Dasgupta as part of its regular arrangement of the musical session.

A total of 15 popular songs of Komol Dasgupta were presented by veteran and new members of Kranti in the programme. 'Esho priyo mon rangai,' 'Prithibi amare chai,' 'Ami bonophul go,' 'Duti pakhi duti teere,' 'Emoni borosha chhilo sedin,' 'Valobasa more bhikhari korechhe,' 'Ami duranta Baishakhi jhor,' 'Kotodin dekhini tomai,' 'Tumi ki ekhon dekhichho swapan,' and other songs were presented at the show.

Noted musician Azad Rahman was present as chief guest at the function and discussed on the life and activities of Komol Dasgupta at the programme.

Mahbubul Haider Mohan, President of Kranti and Gano Sangeet artiste, coordinated, scripted and moderated the whole programme.
