Madrasa students set deadline to withdraw DU restriction

All Universities, including Dhaka University (DU), will be deadlocked if DU authority does not withdraw the new discriminatory conditions within 1 November, on Madrasa background students to get admission in seven departments of DU, leaders of Madrasa



Students-Right Preservation Committee said in a programme.

The Programme chaired by committee convener Moniruzzaman was held at 10 AM at the main gate of arts building in Dhaka University yesterday. At least 1,000 students attended.

Moniruzzaman demanded withdrawal of the order of expulsion of Sariatullah and Misbahur Rahman, leaders of Madrasa Students-Right Preservation Committee.

The University authority is driving the students towards a strong movement by not accepting their demand although the dean's committee suggested doing it yesterday, they blamed.

Sariatullah, Mustafijur Rahman, Hafijur , Kamrul, among other committee members, spoke there.
