Citibank, NA Bangladesh recently organised a 2-daylong training on "SWIFT" (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) in Dhaka designed to meet the needs of the Financial Institution clients.

The core objective of this training programme was to give an in-depth understanding to the clients on SWIFT and provide an update on the latest S'WIFT solutions for banks. Citibank being the first to implement SWIFT for clients globally arranged this session for the participants to discuss on its newest services and solutions in the Global Clearing Payments business.

Elizabeth Kusuma, from SWIFT, conducted the training programme that was attended by 28 senior officials from different banks. Other than Citibank, NA Bangladesh, the participating banks included Al Arafah Islami Bank Limited, EXIM Bank Limited, Prime Bank Limited, United Commercial Bank Limited, Mercantile Bank, Limited Mutual Trust Bank Limited, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, Standard bank Limited, BRAC Bank Limited. Tawfiq Ali, Head of Financial Institutions along other senior Officials from Citibank was also present. Certificates were distributed among the participants upon completion of the training.
