Executive President of Jamiyate Ulamaye Islam Bangladesh Moulana Mohiuddin Khan yesterday urged the government to retain Friday as the weekly holiday.

He said this at a rally at the Trust Auditorium in the city.

Mohiuddin Khan said a vested quarter is hatching conspiracy to convert the holiday and they are also making complexity to take admission of madrasah students in the Dhaka University,.

Vice President of the organisation Moulana Abdul Wadud presided over the rally.

NAP President Sheikh Anwarul Haque, Secretary General of Bangladesh Muslim League Atiqul Islam and the General Secretary of National Democratic Party Alamgir Majumder spoke in the rally.
