Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED) has been implementing 60 development schemes involving Taka 14.80 crore in six upazilas of the district during the current financial year.

Official sources said the schemes include construction and reconstruction of roads, culverts, bridges, earth filing and maintenance and development of government primary schools. As many as 55 per cent works of the schemes have already been completed and rest of the works is expected to be finished within next June.
