National Sanitation Campaign Month, October 2008 began in Mymensingh on Oct. 14. A grand rally was brought out from D.C office premises and paraded main streets of he town and ended in D.C. office. A discussion meeting was held at Zilla Parishad Auditorium. Md. Ziaur Rahman Khan, D.C. (Mym.) was present as chief guest. A.D.C (General) Md. Mohsin presided over the meeting. Mayor, Mymensingh Pourasava Advocate Mahmud Al-noor Tarek, Golam Sarwar, UNICEF representative Dr. Mashroar Anwar, Deputy Civil Surgeon were present as special guests. The speakers stressed on sanitation and urged to make a success the sanitation campaign month. It was organised by DPHE, District Administration and Pourasava. Chairmen of Union Parishads, C.O and NGO representatives were present in the meeting.
