40 sacks of rice seized in Jamalpur

Police seized 40 sacks of rice from a house at Valuka village under Sadar Upazila of the district on Friday.

Acting on a tip-off, Sadar thana police raided the house of one Zulhas at Valuka village and seized the rice.

Police said, the rice was sanctioned for VGF cardholders but some dishonest persons kept it at the said house for selling in the black market. A case was registered with Sadar thana police in this connection.
