Awami League and its front organisations held an Eid re-union meeting at Rupganj area of Rupganj Upazila in Narayanganj on the 6th October last at 10 AM with Abdul Motalib AL President of Rupganj Upazila in the chair. K.M. Shafiullah former army chief and the central leader of the AL addressed the meeting as a chief guest.

Among others, Moshiur Rahman Major (Rt), Mojibur Rahman, Chairman, Kanchan Paurashava, Mahbubur Rahman, Chairman, Tarabo Paurashava, Abu Hossain Bhuiyan Chairman, Rupganj Union Parishad, Advocate Mofijuddin, Abul Bashar Tuku, Manjur Alam Tutul, Sajjad Hossain, Mahmudul Ahshan, Giasuddin AL leaders addressed the meeting.

Speakers demanded immediate and unconditional release of Sheikh Hasina. Later they urged leaders to be united and to work together under the leadership of K.M. Shafiullah for the upcoming election.
