Alhaj Matin Uddin Ahmed Barabhuiya has been elected as the Independent Director of Dhaka Bank Limited at the 135th Board Meeting held on June 12.

Matin was the Managing Director of Shahjalal Islamic Bank Ltd and Al Arafah Islamic Bank Ltd. He was also Senior Vice President and In-charge of the Main Branch of Dhaka Bank Ltd. He is also associated with different socio-cultural activities.

Leading industrialist Shameem Hussain has been elected as the Director of Dhaka Bank Limited at the 13th Board Meeting held on September 9. Hussain is the Chairman of Dhaka Refilling and Service Centre Limited, and HP Chemicals Limited, and Managing Director of Zenith (Bangladesh) Rollers Ltd, Robistic Ltd and Polyweb Printing and Packages Ltd. He is the Director of Robin Printing and Package Ltd and also the sponsor of different socio-cultural activities.
