Bollywood : Bipasha Basu as a Kashmiri girl in Lamha

Bipasha Basu in film Lamha

Bipasha Basu is all set to redefine the preconceived biased notions. The dusky Bong beauty has been an unconventional choice for the role of a Kashmiri girl in Rahul Dholakia's 'Lamha.' Bipasha has taken this as a challenge and the determined actress has decided to look convincing. "I want to disprove that myth. The preconceived notions have to be overcome," she said.

Taking her role very seriously, Bipasha will be learning Kashmiri language and also wants to bring a native Kashmiri girl to Mumbai so that she can study her, observe the true native body language, mannerism and accent.

All the preparations are being made in Mumbai as Kashmir is not deemed safe by the actress to do her homework. "I want my character to be very basic - exactly like the girls are in Kashmir today. I've done realistic roles in Prakash Jha's 'Apaharan' as well as Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Corporate.' But, 'Lamha' is something else," says a charged up Bipasha. - Agency
