The construction work of the Kendua Press Club bhaban has been begun on Wednesday.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Kendua upazila Mohammad Obaidur Rahman inaugurated the costruction work.

Chaired by president of the Press Club Syed Abdul Wahab, the function was addressed, among others, by general secretary of the club Sakul Islam Khan, Kendua upazila engineer Mohammad Afsaruddin, upazila secondary education officer AHM Nur-e-Alam and journalist Anisur Rahman Anju.

The UNO termed journalists as a mirror of the society and said newsmen can help the administration by their objective reporting.

He urged upon the newsmen to highlight the real picture of the society for upholding the truth and human rights.
