A reception ceremony was to given to the two 'Kashida' singers on the occasion of Eid festival.

The ceremony was jointly organized by Dhakabasi and Biswa Kalakendra at the Seminar Room of the TSC of Dhaka University.

Chief Adviser of Dhakabasi Inam Ahmed Chowdhury was present as chief guest, while Registrar of Dhaka University and General Secretary of Biswa Kalakendra Syed Rezaur Rahman chaired the function. Dulal Biswas, Secretary General of the National Youth Organisation, adviser of Dhakabasi Mahbubul Alam, DGM of Elite Cosmetica Ltd Md Abul Hossaon, Md Shukur Salek, President of Dhakabasi, among others, spoke at the function. Two 'Kashida's of old Dhaka Jumman Mia and Samad Mia were given reception from the organisers for their contribution for perseverance of the tradition of old Dhaka during the Ramzan.
