The premiere of film 'Amar Achhe Jol' was held at the Star Cineplex in the city on Friday.

Humayun Ahmed has made the full-length feature film. Mahfuzur Rahman has cinematographed and Impress Telefilm Ltd has produced it.

Faridur Reza Sagar, Managing Director of Impress Telefilm Ltd, Aly Zaker, theatre personality, Asaduzzaman Noor, drama activist, Naushad Karim Chowdhury, Brand and Development Director of Unilever Bangladesh, film stars Pijush Bandhopadya, Saleh Ahmed, Zahid Hassan, Jayanta Chatterjee, Shawon, Ferdous, Munmun Ahmed, Ejajul Islam and Mim, among others, were present at the show.

Channel i will premiere the film on Eid day at 2:35pm. The film will also hit different cinema halls including 'Balaka Cineworld' and 'Star Cineplex' on the day.

Story of Eid Vacation:

A family of two matured persons. An old woman - mother-in-law- lives in her own house. His rest children live abroad. The story begins during the last days of Ramzan when family members were buying clothes for relatives in one hand and on the other hand iftar was preparing.

In the meantime, shooting was also held there. While taking meal a proposal comes from son from watching an advertisement to go to visit Bhutan. Then everybody said how grandmother will pass her Eid day?

Story of Pragoitihasik:

Vikhu is a rebellion and a person of the underworld. Recently he took part in a robbery and crossing field and forest. Then he took shelter in a house of Plehad Bagchi. Then he disguised himself and became a beggar to get relief from the villagers and police. But nobody wanted to give him shelter. Then he made a house in the forest. But sunshine, rain, snake, fox, ant and other wild life made trouble for him and his life became workless at a time. One day Plehad and Bharat, his sister-in-law, took him to their house. After passing many days he became well. One day in absence of Plehad and Bharat, he became sexy to see the body of the wife of Plehad. When he started to sex with her forcibly, Plehad and Bharat return home and drove Vikhu from their house. Then Vikhu took revenge. This is the story of the telefilm Pragoitihasik.

A reception ceremony was to given to the two 'Kashida' singers on the occasion of Eid festival.

The ceremony was jointly organized by Dhakabasi and Biswa Kalakendra at the Seminar Room of the TSC of Dhaka University.

Chief Adviser of Dhakabasi Inam Ahmed Chowdhury was present as chief guest, while Registrar of Dhaka University and General Secretary of Biswa Kalakendra Syed Rezaur Rahman chaired the function. Dulal Biswas, Secretary General of the National Youth Organisation, adviser of Dhakabasi Mahbubul Alam, DGM of Elite Cosmetica Ltd Md Abul Hossaon, Md Shukur Salek, President of Dhakabasi, among others, spoke at the function. Two 'Kashida's of old Dhaka Jumman Mia and Samad Mia were given reception from the organisers for their contribution for perseverance of the tradition of old Dhaka during the Ramzan.
