CAB distributes foodstuff among wayside vendors

The Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) yesterday handed over foodstuff van to eleven trained wayside food vendors to encourage them for selling hygienic food items.

The CAB distributed the foodstuff vans among the vendors under its ongoing research project styled "FAO-National Food Policy Capacity Strengthening Programme (NFPCSP).

Under the programme, the CAB has already trained up 60 wayside food vendors for preparing germ-free food items.

CAB will also impart training 240 more vendors of Motijheel, Dhanmondi and Lalbag areas to prepare the hygienic foodstuff.

Executive Editor of Janakanta Borhan Ahmed, Director General of Food Directorate Pius Costa, FAO-NFPCSP Chief Technical Advisor Chiro Feorilo spoke on the occasion.
