One person was killed on the spot and 10 others were injured in a road accident near Paulbari Square Sunday morning. The dead was identified as Nasiruddin (27), son of Mosrak Hossain of village Tujalpur under Satkhira sadar upazila in Satkhira district.

According to report, a Kushtia- bound passenger bus was coming from Satkhira in the morning. When the bus reached near power house of Paulbari Square on Jessore-Dhaka Highway the driver of the bus lost control over the steering and hit the road-side tree and turned turtle and fell in on the road- side ditch, as a result bus passenger Nasiruddin died on the spot and injuring ten others.

The injured persons were admitted into General Hospital Jessore.
