The district administration has taken steps to conduct drives against hotels, restaurants and diagnostic centres and clinics for violating code of conduct.

As part of the programme, a mobile court raided at Charpara area on Wednesday and fined two restaurants, four clinics and diagnostic centres. Magistrate Md Abu Jafar led the drive with the help of Rapid Action Battalion. RAB sources said, the court fined the two restaurants-New Panchtra hotel and Panchtra restaurant-Taka 10,000 and Taka 5,000 respectively for selling rotten and adulterated foods. Besides, the court raided four diagnostic centres and clinics at Charpara area and fined Taka 5,000 each for lack of valid documents.

These centres were Modina pathology lab, Moitree nursing home, Ahamodia diagnostic complex and Janani nursing home.
