United efforts to prevent HIV/AIDS underscored

A discussion meeting on HIV/AIDS Prevention and control among high risk population and valuable young people in Bangladehs was held at Mymensingh Press Clu on 30th August.

HIV/AIDS prevention project office, World Vision organised the meeting. D.C. Mymensingh Md Shamsul Alam was present as chief guest while it was chaired by Advocate Wayadul Islam, Vice President, Press Club. Keynote paper was presented by Dr. Joyanta Kumar Nath, Project Manager HIV/AIDS Prevention Project, World Vision. Press Club Secretary Advocate Moyamed Haque, Ziauddin Ahmed, Vice-President Press Club, Advocate Khalequzzaman, Alaul Karim Khokon (Jugentar), Zillur Rahman (Sangbad) Professor Lutfar Rahman Khan also addressed in the meting. The speakers stressed to provide HIV Prevention information, skills and services to young people.

They also stressed on care, treatment and support of people living with HIV/AIDS, Essential Services for female sex workers. 40 journalists participated in the meeting.
