India to invest $9.776 m in Dhaka EPZ

M/s.Lenny Apparels Limited an Indian company will set up a Women and Knit Garments industry in the Export Processing Zone here.

This 100 percent foreign owned company will invest about Taka 67 crore in setting up their plant and will produce women and knit products.

The company will also create employment opportunity for 1681 Bangladeshi including 61 foreign nationals. An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and the M/s .Lenny Apparels Limited in BEPZA complex,here Dhaka on Monday.

Prasanta Bhushan Barua, member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Waseem Mohd. Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of M/s. Lenny Apparels limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization.

Brig General Jamil Ahmed Khan, ndc, psc, Executive chairman of BEPZA and other officials from respective organizations were present on the occasion.
