That old garbage bin back!
May sound as if a fiction but it's a reality! The filthy garbage container which was recently removed by the City Corporation from its location at College Gate (one of the entry points of SAU) on Mirpur road has mysteriously made its return to college gate finding a more comfortable resting place! Even before its old location could be properly cleaned, the garbage bin got back a new place just a few yards ahead of the previous one! It's now contributing more vigorously towards increasing environmental pollution and health hazards with garbage plus hospital wastes it is receiving every day.
It is unknown to us how that dirty pollutant garbage container managed its permanent resident status at college gate. Perhaps now it become illogical to ask the concerned authority for its removal, instead, I should ask your esteemed readers to pay a visit to college gate to have a glance of the historical garbage container and the atmosphere around it, about which we have written lot of news stories in the newspapers including yours. Of course the poets can also visit the bin to gather idea for composing a ballad of the garbage container. Here are some lines from my own composed ballad:
Ballad of the Garbage Container /This place is all I need/ To make my existence vivid/ I help many organisms to feed/ On my dirty and filthy feeds!/ Polluting the environment/ Is my foremost task/ How I spread disease/ Please do not ask./ You may hate me/ But I do not care/ The authority is happy/ To keep me here!
