Some 15 BNP activists were injured in a clash between reformist and conformist groups in front of city BNP office at Nasimon Bhaban yesterday.

Witnesses said the clash ensued at about 3pm when reformists assaulted former city Chhatra Dal leader Nazimur Rahman as he was heavily criticizing the reformist group at a rally held marking the release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

As the rival groups locked in fistfight, police charged them with baton to disperse them.

Loyalist group led by Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury got most of the beating at the hands of reformist group loyal to Abdullah Al Noman.
