A devastating fire gutted a hostel of a madrassah at Chapatoli village in Kochua upazila Monday morning. Fire brigade sources said the fire originated from a kerosene stove at a room of the hostel of Chapatoli Senior Madrassah at around 10:00am and gutted the entire 75 feet long semi-pucca hostel. On information, firefighters from Kochua Sadar rushed to the spot and doused the flame with the help of local people. All the belongings of the 135 students of the hostel and its furniture were charred.
