Six people were killed and at least 25 others injured in separate road accidents in Sadar and Mithapukur upazilas Friday midnight.

Lalmia, 38, and Aminur Rahman, 27, died on the spot and 28 others wounded as a Sayeedpur bound minibus from Rangpur overturned at Paglapir on Rangpur-Dinajpur highway in Sadar upazla as its driver lost control over the steering of his vehicle.

The injured were admitted to Rangpur Medical College hospital where three of them, Tuku Mia, 37, Jashedul,35, and Jarina, 9, succumbed to injuries after admission.

In another incident, a van puller, Lalmia, 35, was killed as a bus knocked him down when he was crossing road at Mithapukur Bazar on Rangpur-Bogra highway in Mithapukur upazila.

Separate cases were filed with respective police stations.
