The Annual Azan and Qirat Competition- 2008 of Bangladesh Police was held at Rajarbagh Police Lines Central Jame Masjid on Friday.

In the Azan competition, Constable Mohammad Qarimul, Naik Mohammad Ruhul Amin and Naik Mohammad Zahirul Islam won the first, second and third prizes respectively.

In the Qirat competition, Hafez Mohammad Abdul Awal, Constable Hafez Mohammad Safiullah and Constable Mohammad Rafiqul Islam clinched the first, second and third spots respectively.

Inspector General of Police Nur Mohammad attended the function as the chief guest and distributed prizes and certificates among the winners.

DMP Commissioner Nayeem Ahmed, Additional IGP of CID Jabed Patwary, DIG (finance and development) Mohammad Mainur Rahman Chowdhury and other high officials of the Police were present.
