Police arrested two women traffickers in the district on Friday.

The arrested were Nur Nabi, 25, of Rupshandi village of Tangail district and Bacchu Khan, 20, of Sabilapur village of Melandaha upazila of Jamalpur district. They used to live in Dhanbari and were engaged in women trafficking promising them wedding for a long time.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police led by Assistant Police Super Zahid Hossain Bhuiyan arrested Bacchu Khan from Fulbaria area in the town and Nur Nabi from Dhanbari in Tangail district. A case was registered with Jamalpur Sadar thana police in this connection.
