RAB personnel yesterday recovered 45 mobile phone sets, two firearms and seven rounds of ammunitions from a house at Kalachnadpur, Gulshan in the city.

Acting on a tip of RAB members led by SM Mahbub Morshed in collaboration with police personnel raided at the residence of Dr Asrab Uddin at 101/1(A) Kalachnadpur and recovered the 45 mobile sets, a big chamber revolver, a pipe gun and 7 rounds of ammunitions from the possession of Abdus Satter, 22 who lives in the ground floor on rent.

They arrested Abdus Satter and his ally Jamal 20 on the spot.

Sub-Inspector Ismat Ara of Gulshan Police Station filed a case (No 91) in this regard.

Sources said the mobile sets comprising various brands were deposited there by resorting to snatching from different parts of the city.
