Sixty seven including seven female councilor candidates out of 184 candidates of Barisal City Corporation election will lose their security deposits.

Twenty five councilor candidates received only 03 to 49 votes in the election and two former female councilors also included in the lists of security deposit losers.

Election office sources revealing this facts said that formers councilors Kamrunnanahar Sweaty and Khadiza Nasrin Shefali will loss their security deposits for receiving less than one eight number of casting votes for general ward commissioner and reserved female seat candidates of BCC election held on August 4, 2008.

Among 39 female councilor candidates of reserved seats for females , besides Sefali more six female councilor candidates including Sultana Begum, Parsia Begum,Parul Begum,Nasima Hannan,Jahanara Hossain and Minu Nasir will lose their security deposit for the same cause.

Besides the 25 candidates received less than 50 votes including Mofazzal Ali Khan Montu (3 votes), Naresh Chandra Roy Dulal, Alam Sharif and Harunur Rashid Howladar (7 votes) and Rustam Ali Mallik (6 votes).
