AL leaders want execution of court verdict in Bangabandhu Murder Case BSS, Chittagong Leaders of Bangladesh Awami League, Chittagong south district unit on Tuesday called for immediate execution of the court verdict on the Bangabandhu Murder Case. At a discussion marking the National Mourning Day, they said the verdict must be executed in this soil for the sake of establishing rule of law in the country. Vice-President of the unit Abu Saleh was in the chair while AL Presidium Member Ataur Rahman Khan Kaiser was the chief guest on the occasion, held at Chittagong Press Club auditorium. Unit's Vice-president SM Abul Kalam, General Secretary Moslem Uddin Ahmed and other party leaders including Advocate Sultanul Kabir Chowdhury, Ataul Haq, Motaharul Islam Chowdhury, Nazrul Islam and Wahiduzzaman Chowdhury took part in the discussion. Ataur Rahman Khan Kaiser said execution of the court verdict against the killers of Bangladesh's Founding Father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was now a demand of the entire nation, not Awami League alone. He said the national election should be held before the upazila polls and Awami League President and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should be released permanently in the greater interest of a congenial atmosphere for transition to democracy. "The vested quarters are out with conspiracy against the party and I call upon the leaders and workers at all levels to remain united and alert," he said.
