Cao wins 75kg women's weightlifting gold AFP, Beijing Cao Lei of China won the women's 75kg weightlifting gold medal at the Beijing Olympics on Friday. Cao hoisted 128kg in the snatch and 154kg in the clean and jerk for a total lift of 282kg, all three being new Olympic records. Alia Vazhenina of Kazakhstan won the silver medal with a 266kg total, while Russia's Nadezda Evstyukhina got the bronze medal with a total effort of 264kg.
