Two students suffered wounds in a clash between workers of Jatyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) at Chittagong Polytechnic Institute (CPI) recently. The injured were identified as Mohammad Saiful Islam (21) and Mohammad Osman Goni (22), workers of ICS.

Police, quoting eyewitness, said that the clash occurred as some of the JCD workers ambushed the workers of ICS at the time of their returning to their dorms. When the news of the attack went around the campus, the ICS workers rushed for counter-attacks leaving two people wounded. Security people rushed to the trouble spot and chased the warring groups away. A tense situation was prevailing on the campus till the time of dispatching the report.
