Truck recovered, 2 held

A rice-laden truck of Messers Kamrul Traders of Kanchan poura market, at Rupganj in Narayanganj was recovered in an abandoned condition by Khilgaon Thana police on Friday last from Bonasri area of Dhaka city.

Abul Fazal, owner of Kamrul Traders said that he bought a total of 150 sacks of rice from Mokter Husking Mills of Setabganj in Dinajpur district and sent it to his shop by truck. On the way, the truck fell victim of snatching at Shanir Akhra near Dhaka on the 6th August. He filed a case with the Jatrabari Thana in this connection. The police arrested the driver and the helper of the truck on Friday last.
