Once neglected Manikganj town now gets new look BSS, Manikganj Manikganj town has been facing manifold problems for a long time and its dwellers were not getting the facilities enjoyed by the people of other district towns of the country. There was no permanent bus-truck terminal, children park and playground. The scenario, however, has been changing since joining of Md Ataur Rahman as new Deputy Commissioner of the district. At present the people of the town get a children park inside the collectorate campus, a big kitchen market, a bus-truck terminal, a shaheed minar, a standard collectorate school at Beutha, a weaving village at Matha, a blood bank for the first time at diabetic hospital campus. Deputy Commissioner Md Ataur Rahman has taken the development projects and finished those with the help of local people, specially the elite and wealthy section. The town is getting a new look gradually.
