The speakers at a function stressed the need for creating self-employment opportunity to eradicate 'monga'-seasonal job crisis situation from the district.

They also urged all to bring the unskilled mass community under various technical and vocational training courses aimed at creating in them skilled manpower.

They said this in an opinion exchange meeting on the creation of skilled manpower and self-employment opportunity in eradicating Monga jointly organised by Palli Badhu Kallayan Sangstha (PBKS) and Sheba Bandhan Kallayan Society (SBKS) at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner (DC) here on August 4. DC Abu Muhammad Yousuf addressed the meeting as chief guest.

Presided over by ADC (General) Abul Bayes Miah the meeting was also addressed, among others, by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Iftekhar Hossain, President of District Chamber of Commerce and industry Shajada Anwarul Quadir, Shahapara UP Chairman Mahbubur Rahman Tulu, Assistant Director of DYD Abdur Razzak, Executive Director of PBKS Ms Monowara Talukder and consultant of SBKS Abdul Awal.
