Construction of small fly-overs

It is a common phenomenon that while traveling from one place to another in Dhaka city either by motor vehicle or by rickshaw we are faced with great problems and difficulties and wastage of our valuable time as we are stuck up and stranded for a considerable period of time at innumerable road squares, road crossings and road corners and our sufferings know no bounds.

What is then the remedy ? Build giant flyovers from one corner to another in the city ? Build subway, underground railway ?

Due to our financial constraint and other cogent reasons it is not possible. We need to build a few, minimum 10 to 20 small flyovers of two and three-storied at important and busy road squares, road crossing and road corners for movement of motor vehicles all the time without any hindrance and bottleneck.

Would our Roads and Highways Department, Rajuk, DCC and DMP kindly consider, implementing the proposal and mitigate the sufferings of the people ?

To praise Srabon or not?

The Bengali month of Srabon constitutes the main part of the rainy season in Bangladesh. Srabon brings plenty of rains. Of course rain causes a lot of problems to the people particularly the city dwellers as the roads are inundated by the rain water and normal life comes to standstill!

Nevertheless, in my view, Srabon has its own magical charm, the rain-drops it brings refreshes our mind and make us feel a part of nature. One can easily sense the innocence of Srabon if one closely looks at the playing children in the rain.

Srabon obviously deserves praise for its hidden beauty and adoring natural touch!
