The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a total of seven cases against all public representatives, several officials and contractors of Narail Municipality with Narail Police Station on Thursday night.

Wajed Ali Gazi, ACC Deputy Director of Jessore, filed these cases against Advocate Sohrab Hossain Biswas, Mayor along with other 25 persons. They are accused of corruption and misappropriation of irregular allotment of Municipality markets, irregularity in road and market construction, grafting lease money from Poura hat-bazaars, grafting huge government grant money, marking bills and vouchers against false projects. These were filed for grafting a total of Tk 32, 87,122. Among the accuseds, six cases against Advocate Sohrab Hossain Biswas, Mayor of Narail Municipality, 4 cases against Khondaker Al Monsur Billah, 3 cases against poura councillor Sharful Alam Litu, Ahmed Ali Khan, Telaet Hossain and Syed Mushfikur Rahman Bachchu, ex-Assistant Engineer Oaziur Rahman, ex-official Motiar Rahman, 2 cases against Poura councilor Zahangir Biswas, Rajibul Islam and Kazal Lata, Ex-assistant Engineer Nazir Ahmed, Sub-assistant engineer Alauddin Mina and Contractor Anisuzzaman, case against Poura Councillor Saiful Islam, Rafikul Islam, Epi Rani Biswas and Joyonti Rani Halder and contractor Abdul Mukit Lablu, Tazir Ahmed, Radhe Rani Kundu, Abdul Mukit Lablu, Bablu Basu, Izazul Islam Babu, Rubel Miah, Toufikur Rahman Mamun, Sohel Rana Palash, Zillur Rahman have been filed with Narail Sadar Police station.
