What do they do? I express my thanks to the writer (who preferred not to be named) of the captioned letter published in a leading Dhaka daily on July 28, 2008. Yes, we saw some so-called Bangladeshi bigwigs (of certain colour and political lineage) tear their all eyes at the death of Indian Field Marshal Manekshaw - who died a natural death at the age of 93 a few weeks back. But, unfortunately they are all in acute shortage of words to condole the death of the BDR jawans killed by the BSF gun-runners of our big neighbour. Similarly, Indian interests bearer politicians remained shamefully non-chalant to such national threat. However, we pray for the eternal peace of those brave sons of the soil who sacrificed their invaluable lives for the cause and dignity of the nation. Kalpana Chowdhury Azimpur, Dhaka
