The 1st photography exhibition of Shudhui Bangla Photographic Association was held at Drik Gallery in the city recently.

The exhibition was inaugurated on July 31 and concluded on August 4. Eminent child litterateur, poet and journalist Faruk Nawaz inaugurated the exhibition. It is mentioned that participant photographers are amateur photographers. They are engaged in various professions.

In the inauguration of the exhibition Faruk Nazaw said, "Art is the ancient form of fine arts and camera made easier to express the art form through visualisation. A photograph can easily represent a country to the world."

The participant photographers are - Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman, Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Sudipto Das, Sabhanaz Rashid Dia, Tahmidul Islam, Atikur Rahman, Azrin Alam, Bilas Paul, Mahmudul Hossain Abir, FK Morshed, Ishtiaque Ahmed, Rezwana Nupur Khaled, Md Rokon Uddin Rana, Royena Rasnat, Ariful Islam, Md Zakaria Shahid Rumi, Tareque Saifur Rahman, Soud A Faisal, Jeba Islam, Intekhab Chowdhury, Kamrul Hasan, Samia Mohammad, Shaharul Islam, Ashraful Alam, Sheikh Md Ashfaquzzaman, Niaz Ahmed, Yasin Abdullah Pial, Md Mahbub Faisal, Syed Towhid Hasan, Sadiqur Rahim, Mamun Islam and Tipu Kibria.

Sudipto Das, one of the participants and working at Grameen Phone, said "Shudhui Bangla strated its journey as a group of www.flickr.com on February 5 this year. This is other than other groups in the website. Because in this group everything is written in Bengali. For this reason, Tipu Kibria, founder of the group, named the site is Shudhui Bangla."

A total of 52 photographs of 32 photographers took place in the exhibition.

Natural rural and urban beauty, rivers, sky and many other things were presented in the photographs at the show.
