A man was killed allegedly by his son-in-law at Isakhada village in Sadar upazila on Friday night.

Police said Bachchu Miah, son of Borhan Miah, beat his wife at noon following a family feud. Later, his wife informed the matter to her father Harun Miah, 60.

Angered by the incident of beating, Harun and his son Humayun of neighboring Birpur village beat Bachchu at Isakhada bazar in the evening.

Later, a fierce clash ensued between the two groups and at one stage Bachchu stabbed his father-in-law Harun, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to the Sadar hospital where he died. Police arrested Bachchu Miah. A case was filed.
