The HIV and STD Alliance Bangladesh (HASAB) in association with German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) organized a seminar on HIV/AIDS at Political Science Department of Rajshahi University (RU) on Saturday.

12 divisional moderators and trainer of the Jic -OIKKO (Join in circuit -United preventing AIDS) spoke five relevant topics on AIDS. The department chairman Prof. Dr. Aminur Rahman was the chief guest on the seminar while present student Adviser Prof. Faridul Islam as special guest.

The speakers stressed the need for raising mass awareness of the deadly disease to prevent it's spread in the country.

After the seminar partici-pants received their gifts from the chief guest and special guest. 225 students of the department along with 10 teachers participated on the seminar. Training officer and coordinator of the program M. Hafijul Islam said that, they have attached 2500 students of Rajshahi city oriented institutions preventing AIDS.

Bokahri , Rashed ,Mita participators of the program said that ,they have learned detail on AIDS which will help them preventing AIDS .They also urged to expand the program on every institution of Rajshahi because of its risky situation on AIDS.
